This bullet is cast out of 20:1 alloy and will work well at 45 Colt velocities. We do not recommend it for loads in excess of 1100 fps. Optimal expansion occurs at around 800-900 fps in our testing.
Absolute Wild Hog slammer
I own 40 remote acres in Florida that has an over population of Wild Hogs. I have to cull at least 40 to 50 of them every year just to keep the population in check. A few weeks ago I killed a very large boar that was at least 300 pounds with your 290 grain swc-hp with 12.5 grains of AA-9 for about 900 fps. Hit in the center of his chest he only ran 20 yards and fell over. These large boars are very tough and hard to kill. I found the bullet in his off shield and mushroomed to larger than a fifty cent piece. Fantastic performance !
